Ocala police say a man has been arrested on murder charges in connection with a shooting that occurred at a Burger King parking lot in early November.David Smith III was charged with murder in the third degree of 28-year-old Jose Valliant in a shooting that police say stemmed from a drug deal gone wrong on Nov. 3. Smith was already in jail on multiple drug-related felony charges from a late November arrest.The shooting occurred in the parking lot of a Burger King located at 2301 E. Silver Springs Boulevard. Two other people were arrested on November 7 in connection to the shooting. Tulana Joshua and Kevin Coleman are charged with tampering with evidence. Coleman is also charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.Smith is expected in court on January 2 for an arraignment on his drug-related charges.
