Glen Allen, Mo. man charged with first-degree murder in connection with shooting - KFVS

BOLLINGER COUNTY, Mo. (KFVS) - A Glen Allen man was charged with murder in connection with a deadly shooting over the weekend.

Terry Allen, 79, was arrested on charges of first-degree murder and armed criminal action.

According to the Bollinger County Sheriff’s Office, they were dispatched to a home on State Highway Y around 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, December 16 for a report of a person with a gunshot wound.

When they arrived, they say they found a woman dead in the yard near the home. A man at the scene was detained.

Deputies identified the woman as Tina L. Skaggs of Gipsy, Mo.

The man, identified as Allen, was taken to the Bollinger County Sheriff’s Office where he was placed under arrest and booked in the jail pending formal charges.

Allen allegedly used a Ruger LCP .380 semi-automatic pistol to shoot and kill the victim “on or about December 16, 2023,” according to an arrest warrant posted online.

An arrest warrant was issued for him on Sunday, Dec. 17 with no bond available. Allen remains in jail, at this time.

An autopsy was performed on Skaggs on Monday, Dec. 18 and the cause of death was determined to be due to multiple gunshot wounds.

Online records show Allen made an initial court appearance on Monday, December 18 where he was formally arraigned and referred to the public defender’s office for representation.

A counsel status hearing is scheduled for Wednesday, January 3.

The sheriff said the Missouri State Highway Patrol and Bollinger County Coroner’s Office assisted with the investigation.
