Police arrest man, juvenile in connection with burglary at business - Philadelphia Neshoba Democrat

A Philadelphia man and a juvenile have been arrested and charged in connection with a burglary on Friday.

Shawn Dooely, 20, 1015 Golf Course Road, was arrested and charged with burglary of a commercial building, the authorities said.

Police Chief Eric Lyons says that a juvenile was also arrested in the same incident and was charged with burglary of a commercial building.

Dooley remains in custody in the Winston County Detention Center.

Lyons said that on March 18 at approximately 12:30 a.m. officers responded to call of suspicious persons in parking lot of Eastgate Plaza.

Officers made contact with said individuals and found them in possession of several items including a change jar. Officers checked local businesses in the plaza and observed the door to the Thrifty Nickel had been broken Into and that the items came from that business.

The two suspects were then arrested.
