Ten members of Denver’s FBP gang indicted in connection with drive-by shootings - The Denver Post

Ten members of the FBP — or “Few But Plenty” — street gang have been indicted on 114 felony counts involving 47 victims, the Denver District Attorney’s Office announced Monday.

An investigation by the Regional Anti-Violence Enforcement Network that spanned two years, codenamed “Operation Ricochet,” led to the indictment, officials said.

Many of the charges relate to drive-by shootings of rival gang members that endangered the community, the district attorney’s office said.

“This is a good day for public safety and demonstrates my office’s ongoing commitment to join with our local and federal partners to aggressively combat outbreaks of violent crime within our city,” Denver District Attorney Beth McCann said in a news release.

Other counts in the indictment include violating Colorado’s Organized Crime Control Act, conspiracy to commit first-degree murder, attempted first-degree murder, first-degree assault and illegal discharge of a firearm.

“Today is the culmination of a nearly two-year multi-agency effort to stop the commission of violent crimes being committed across the metro area by a street gang,” David S. Booth, special agent in charge at the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, said in the news release.

The investigation is ongoing.
